The Seattle area (Boeing). Also the oil and gas industry in Alaska. Timber in Oregon. Nike shoes. Amazon.com. Microsoft. Lots of technology companies. Fishing ( salmon).

Look up "pacific northwest" for more indepth information.

I guess you mean the Pacific North West, right? Major Industires would be Lumber/Timber, Shipping, Fishing ( notably delicious Salmon ) and I think Boeing and Microsoft have a big presence there. Look for Washington State and Oregon gov websites, and maybe seattle chamber of commerce. And have you ever tried Wikipedia?

The Pacific Northwest has a huge logging industry. I believe they even call Washington the "Evergreen State". There are tons of trucks transporting loads of timber all over Washington and Oregon.

Boeing, Microsoft, and Starbucks.

BAM.

Try Northwest Cable News for some info, I guess. http://www.nwcn.com/

And Wiki has a big article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_northwest

i know logging used to be big business in Oregon, but now many loggers have lost their jobs. Fishing Nurseries are common too.
