Which class should I get? Choir or creative writing?

I took choir last year and I really liked the class since I like singing and all. This year I got concert band for I don’t know for wat reason and I want to change that class for either creative writing or choir again. I’m stuck on which one to choose since I want to learn to more on writing and what u need to know on to become a better writer. Choir? I don’t have much to say only that I luvd the class. If I see choir only as a great class, then should I choose creative writing? If creative writing is not available, then should I choose choir or another class revolving creative writing?

Creative writing will help you allot for after college... If you can do a concentration or minor in creative writting on top of what you plan on doing you can all ways throw it in you resume, and you'll be able to get alot more jobs after. Every company needs a good writer. I have a friend Creative writting major, got a job in DC and she makes like 70 k per year right out of college

If singing is a passion of yours, then I would continue with your choir career. Thinking back to my highschool years there was only one creative writing class that could be taken. You can continue taking choir every year, and then fit creative writing in when you have an opening in the upcoming years.

Well, I imagine that creative writing might be more useful for your future (future writing assignments, college, etc.) But it really depends on which one you like better.



If you choose one over the other, you could try doing the other outside of school. For example, if you choose creative writing, you could always join a choir outside of school. If your community has out of school writing classes, you could take a writing class out of school. Although make sure you aren't doing more than you can handle.

Choose creative writing and join a local choir...you can sing at weekends....lots of churches and other non religious groups have choirs...ask at your library for information.

My opinion is creative writing. Learning to write creatively may open up new worlds for you! You may find that you enjoy it immensely! Try it for a semester and if you don't like it, change to something else. There are other outlets for singing, but to write well is a gift that will keep on giving! :)
