I have never been to China, so I cant speak of the validity of this stuff. That being said, some of it kind of makes sense, or parralels stuff that happens here. For example, the first one about dead babies. With their level of population control, abortions and dead babies are a fact of every day life, not just a political debate. It makes sense that they would have developed something to do with the remains. I have no idea if something like that would be legal or underground there, but coming from a culture with a different stand point on abortion, it does not sound that bad. When evaluating other cultures, you must always put yourself in their shoes, and evaluate it from their cultural beliefs. You can not be ethnocentric when thinking about stuff like this. Google the Nacerimas, it is a cool article/exercise that will demonstrate why. 2. While not always legal, there are all kinds of animal fights that go on everywhere in the us and uk. People breed dogs and chickens to fight, and then make bets on the survivor. 3. Though overt racism is illegal in the US, it goes on ALL the time. People are bullied, assaulted, the US even has a specific crime category for people who are attacked because of their race. 4. Again, while it may not be as open, people are cruel to animals every day, all over the world. What about the school yard kids piling caterpillars and then stepping on them all to watch their inards all gooze out, laughing, proudly bragging about it? 5. Read about factoring farming. There is no difference between putting a dog through the ick of commercial butchery, or a cow or a chicken. Places that factory farm with less restrictions will be worse than those in the us or uk, but its still factory farming, and it is still abusive whether its a dog or a cat or a chicken or a cow. You have pet dogs, I get it. I know people who have pet chickens and pet cows. 6. I dont know about the uk, but stuff like that happens all the time in the us. Its not necessarily inhumanity, its the opposite. Read on the bystander effect. People, regardless of culture, are more likely to not realize there is an emergency situation in a large group, and drastically less likely to actually help even if they do realize there is something going on, unless specifically asked to do something.

So what is the largest zoo in the world? The answer to this question depends on what criteria is used for the term “large”. Are we measuring the number of species held in captivity or the total land area of the zoo. If we consider only the later the Red McCombs Wildlife in Texas with its 12,000 acres could be considered the biggest zoo in the world. But is has only 20 different animal species and is more of a wildlife preserve than an actual zoo. Just considering the number of species however also doesn’t seem to fit the bill.

This list therefore considers both these features to determine which is the largest zoo in the world.
