B.Tech. would take courses like hardware and software.Bachelor of Technology is an undergraduate academic degree conferred after completion of a three or four year program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-level institution. The common abbreviation for Bachelor of Technology is B.Tech. The degree is conferred in the Commonwealth of Nations, Republic of Ireland, India, the United States and elsewhere.

In general, the degree is awarded to those who have undertaken a Bachelor of Science degree program which is additionally supplemented by either occupational placements (e.g., supervised practical or internships) or practice-based classroom courses. Due to these requirements, the degree normally takes at least four years.

B.E. would take courses like Circuits and microprocessors. Bachelor of Engineering is an undergraduate academic degree awarded to a student after three to five years of studying engineering at universities in Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Zimbabwe, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Difference is just the university guidelines based on who is awarding the degree. For example OU awards it as B.E (Bachelor of Engineering) and JNTU awards it as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). Everything else, course content, value etc are similar.

Note that one university will not award both B.Tech and B.E as there is nothing to distinguish them really.
