As as working professional I dont have time to goto college. I want to do either the Part Time MBA or Certification in Mgmt. Which one has more value and what would you recommend for me?

You see, one of the biggest value an MBA will bring is the "networking" opportunity. Hence, a part-time MBA with no classroom-based activities will miss this important piece.
If you want to go for a fully remote-based degree, the Open university is a good option.
Columbia also has a good option for a certificate: you keep taking several courses and after some time you can apply for a certificate in business excellence.
I think both the part-time mba or the certificate are good options if you pick a good school.
If you can afford going to the campus about twice a month, an executive mba is the best option in my opinion. Chech NYU, Kellog or Columbia.

I would say a PT MBA from an accredited program will be better long-term. Because of the accreditation, an MBA has greater legitimacy and will be more universal. A Mgmt. Certification tends to be more domain specific (i.e. HR, Project Management, etc) and has more narrow appeal than an MBA from a decent program. Of course it is more effort to get the MBA but a diploma is worth more than a certificate.
I would think hard about my goals before getting either, though. I've met people with MBA's and PMP certifications and found them to be lacking in the common sense that my Yahoo! peers seem to have in spades.
