Is withdrawing from a class bad on a college transcript!?

Unfortunately, I am at the point where I feel I should withdraw from an elective history class. It is online and there is a lot of reading material to cover! This summer, I have a full time internship working 50 hours a week and managerial duties--there is no way I will be able to keep up with my reading as my internship is intense and requires much work. My question is, as an ad/pr major, will withdrawing from a history of U.S. flight class effect my future? I have never withdrawn and never planned to, but I find myself too overwhelmed right now? Help please?

withdrawing from a class is fine. It is way better than failing the course or getting a bad grade. No one looks down on withdrawing from a class and you definitely have a good reason to do so.

It depends. There's a date where you can withdraw without any penalty at all, and even get your money back. Later, there will be another date where you can withdraw and not get a grade, but they will keep your money. If you go past that last drop date, you just have to take what grade they give you.

I don't see how (or why) withdrawing would appear on your transcript at all. It depends on the school, of course. Some probably make it more complicated than others.

No it won't! Just make sure you withdraw so you get the W (so it doesn't factor into your GPA) rather than getting an F in the class. This would be a completely different story for someone who has withdrawn a lot, but once won't hurt.

Nope, just hurts the bank account later-in-life if you have a student loan.
