I taught 7th grade for several years. This has a lot of details, good use of paragraphing, and nice dialogue. I would have to see the rubric your teacher is using for this assignment to determine if it is A quality. Good luck.

It really depends on what she bases the grade on. As a writer myself, I can tell that this was written by a young person trying very hard to please a teacher. Maybe it could be a better story if the author was writing to please himself.

But, english teachers do not usually grade for the quality of the story, but on the spelling, grammar, punctuation, and so on. The more adjectives and adverbs, the better! They show you know how to use them, which is all that matters to such teachers. If you have such a teacher, you should get an A.

However, if you have the other sort of teacher, you'll start over. You'll write a story that you would want to read. You'll write a story that doesn't need to have words added to make it long enough. You'll write a story that is a story, and not a police report. And then you'll revise it to make sure all the words are spelled correctly, the grammar is correct, and the right punctuation is used.

I'm in a high english class, but I think the following sentence is a bit confusing: The first witness stated that it was Betty Brookstone, the receptionist for Dr. Abraham. Everyone who worked for her said she was the nicest person on earth and she would never do it. WHAT DID HE SAY BETTY BROOKSTONE WAS! Also, some sentences are choppy and it kind of gets predictable. I would give you between the B and A- range, but if I were grading hard, probably not an A. But hey, you're in sixth grade, how would I know?

Well, first it starts good, and it seems like it will be a good story. Then it gets very predictable and sounds a lot like one of those CSI shows. Also if your teacher is a hard grader, I could see how she could have found many grammatical errors. For the most part is good but not very original.
