Ok, I love to write. I do very well with take-home assignments and research papers. BUT, I'm HORRIBLE at writing essays or papers IN class. I did really poorly on the SAT written portion of the test, and I feel really discouraged. When I am able to take a writing assignment home, I have time to organize my thoughts and rewrite and improve it. I can't do this in class; I break out into a cold sweat--my thoughts are disorganized, and when I am done, I have very little written. It just looks like an elementary student wrote it. It's embarrassing. >_<

So, how can I improve my in-class writing so that it is just as impressive as my papers that are written at out of class? I have to take the GRE exam within the next couple of years, and I really want to redeem myself on the essay portion.

Any and all advice would be great, thanks in advance! (10 points to the best answer)

Use a standard short essay format. This way you can plug in your arguments and not have to worry about structure. For example:

Opening statement

Argument A

Support evidence for A x2

Argument B

Support evidence for B x2

Argument C

Support evidence for C x2

Closing statement that rehashes the opener

If you're trying to persuade, the strongest persuasive argument is argument C. If you're doing a compare/contrast, the strongest is argument A. After that it's pretty well all done. It can get boring to write essays like this, but at least since you're so familiar with the structure, the familiarity should undo the anxiety.

All you have to do is to think Just imagine what you have write

As a suggestion , just jot down points what you would write in each paragraph like in the first para you give an introduction and then proceed

And make sure that you clearly know what you want to write in each paragraph

Also each paragraph should be easily distinguishable and understandable

Well it is also normal that essays at home are always better than that at school

once you've youthful sibilings, tell them about it. or maybe, study the Bible and also you'll likely locate cool issues written there that you probably did not learn about, tell your kinfolk about them and ask in the adventure that they knew that became contained in the Bible and what they imagine of it. I basically all started reading the former testomony for the first time lately, and there is a lot of loopy tousled stuff there that they don't coach you in youngsters' guidance because that is too inappropriate. and then once you grow to be an grownup, a lot of cases you do not quite do bible study because you imagine you recognize each and each of the significant issues that you discovered as a baby, yet you'd be shocked. Like, did you recognize that Abraham really pimped his spouse out to some diverse kings or effective human beings (telling them that she's his sister - which surely she became because they'd a similar father yet diverse moms) basically so that they may be dealt with o.k. by the king that she's now with (this even befell in Egypt with the pharaoh, or maybe as he got here across out, he became all like "why did you enable me have sex which includes your spouse, i presumed she became your sister??" and considering that he already had given Abraham a lot of riches and sheep and donkeys and servants, he basically instructed Abraham to get out of Egypt (with each and each of the free stuff), and then this befell a pair extra cases. that is little need telling non secular church-going human beings about how reliable Jesus is, because all of them recognize. locate the lesser-prevalent memories contained in the Bible and talk about those.
